Lai Lai Eat Origin
I never set out to own a bakery, but three key moments led me here. The first was when I was 10 years old, watching my mom bake fresh bread daily for her customers. I loved watching her work and I'd help her pack the bread and bring some to school to sell to teachers and friends. This was more than just a way to make pocket money, it sparked a deep sense of connection to food and sharing with others. That experience planted the dream of opening a bakery, offering fresh, individually packed bread perfect for people on the go.

The second turning point came when I moved abroad at 15 years old. Living away from home, I missed the comfort of my hometown’s food. With a limited student budget, I started experimenting in the kitchen, trying to recreate the dishes I longed for. When I succeeded, I shared my creations with friends, and seeing their delight motivated me to keep cooking and push my culinary boundaries.

The third moment was after graduation, during my travels for work and personal reasons. I had the opportunity to experience food from different cultures, especially local bakeries.
Each place I visited added to my palate and inspired new ideas. I loved starting my mornings with fresh bread and coffee from different bakeries, and these experiences helped me envision a bakery that blends traditional flavors with modern twists.

Each of these moments shaped the vision for Lai Lai Eat, a micro-bakery born out of love, nostalgia, and a desire to connect with people through food.
Today, we invite you to come and enjoy the warmth, flavors, and stories that have shaped our journey.
